Mavericks 140, Lakers 106: Dirk Nowitzki scored 23 points as host Dallas used the NBA’s highest-scoring offense to rout Los Angeles last night.
Nowitzki, Monta Ellis and Chandler Parsons were a combined 23 of 33 from the field as the Mavericks won their sixth straight and had season highs in points, shooting percentage (62 percent) and assists (37). Parsons had 21 points and Ellis scored 20.
Kobe Bryant missed his first eight shots and was
6 of 22 from the field for 17 points.

Grizzlies 117, Celtics 100: Marc Gasol matched his career high with 32 points to lead host Memphis.
Nets 94, Thunder 92: Jarrett Jack scored 23 points off the bench to help visiting Brooklyn snap a five-game losing streak.
Magic 105, Hornets 100: Evan Fournier scored 21 points, Tobias Harris had 17 points and 16 rebounds and visiting Orlando erased a 23-point second-half deficit to hand Charlotte its fourth straight loss.

Broken wrist finally slows down Martin

Minnesota Timberwolves shooting guard Kevin Martin will be out indefinitely after suffering a broken right wrist.
The Timberwolves said Martin, a Zanesville native, broke the wrist on his shooting hand in a fall during the first quarter of Wednesday’s victory over the New York Knicks. He managed to remain in the game and score 37 points.
